Privacy & advertising
You can browse without signing in. Google sign-in requests only your identity, email, name and profile picture. We store a stable Google subject identifier and a secure session cookie. Comments are public; reports are visible to moderators. You can delete your account and comment text from your account page. Guideworthy uses Google Analytics (G-9YW9MB4HMZ) to understand site visits. Third-party players, advertising networks and Trip.com may collect device information and set cookies under their own policies when loaded.
Video playback is provided by the original platform. Trip.com supplies the booking search widgets; we may receive a commission for bookings. Display and native advertising are provided by third-party networks.
YouTube search and playback
Guideworthy uses YouTube API Services for public video and channel metadata. Search requests may be sent to YouTube with the search term and country/language context; we do not send your Guideworthy account, comments or favorites to YouTube. Search cache keys use a hash. Metadata is cached for up to 24 hours and refreshed or removed; temporary discoveries are not automatically published as indexed catalog pages. Player requests contact Google/YouTube when you choose to load a video. Their own data practices apply. By using YouTube features, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
Guideworthy Kids
Kids uses a separate reviewed catalog. General analytics, advertising, Trip.com and public comments are not loaded there. Kids search stays within approved records. Parent accounts store an age-band preference, language, optional replay setting and favorite video IDs. No child name, birthday or child account is requested. Parent PINs are salted and hashed; unlocking is limited and expires after 15 minutes. A necessary secure cookie keeps this browser in Kids until a signed-in parent unlocks it. This is a browser-level gate, not a device lock or independent age verification. Deleting the parent account also deletes its Kids settings and favorites. YouTube playback in Kids remains disabled pending child-directed designation and integration review.
We do not host the original video files or sell access to them. Administration is restricted to the site owner. No public user account is required to browse.
